Claire Valencia: An unconventional and open minded girl who can never quite define the line between her dreamlike states and reality.
When given the ability to develop an alter ego the creative freedom I had immediately excited me. Photoshop and illustrator are both platforms I am looking to progress on and this project challenged me to explore them more deeply. Although technical issues came up, working through them extended my overall knowledge of the software. Claire, my alter ego lives her life in somewhat of a dreamlike state, always twisting the exact definitions of reality. Her creativity and openness drives her to live a more seemingly unconventional lifestyle. I wanted to amplify some of my own defining characteristics while also incorporating things I find intriguing when thinking about more eccentric individuals. A majority of my focus when creating my alter ego circled around how she perceives her surroundings and how that affects her way of life. Ultimately this project allowed me to express another persona who lives boldly with little care, and finds the unconventional aspects of life more of a truth than the defined conventional ways
